The booking part was fine, but the cancellation rules really frustrated me. I had a feeling I should double-check everything more carefully, and I wish I’d trusted that instinct because the fees and refund details weren’t clear enough. By the time I figured it out, I was annoyed.

"Booking was quick and easy"
I booked a room through Uniplaces it was much easier than I expected. I’m not always the best at sorting this kind of stuff early, mostly because I leave things too late, but the filters made it simple to find something that actually fit what I needed.
The only thing was waiting a little bit for the confirmation, though that might have felt longer because I kept checking my email every five minutes. It came through fine in the end, and overall it was a stress-free experience. I’d use it again.

"Move-in was a total headache"
I booked through Uniplaces the move-in was a mess from the start. I showed up with all my bags and the room wasn’t even ready. The landlord also seemed confused about details that were clearly in the listing, which was frustrating.
I had to sit around waiting and didn’t really get any useful help. Support was slow to reply and most of the messages felt like copy-paste responses. First day in a new city and this is what I’m dealing with? Come on now. I definitely wouldn’t use them again.

The room itself was okay, nothing amazing but comfortable enough. The bathroom was usable, so that was a plus, but I did notice dust in a few spots around the room. It kind of felt like the expectations kept shifting—like one area was considered “clean enough,” while another clearly got overlooked. Not the worst stay, but I wish the cleaning had been more consistent.

The flat was mostly what I expected from the pictures. The room and kitchen were in decent shape, though I did notice a few little marks on the walls and the shower felt a bit dated. Maybe I’m being a bit picky, because none of it was a big issue. Overall I was happy with the stay, just wouldn’t say it was absolutely perfect...

I had a question about my booking and, honestly... support replied faster than I expected. They walked me through what I needed to do and it all got sorted out fine. There was one reply that took a little longer, so it wasn’t perfect, but overall I was happy with the help.

I had a problem with my booking payment and got a little stressed at first, mostly because I was trying to sort it out during my lunch break and my coffee had already gone cold by then.
I contacted uniplaces and they replied faster than I thought they would. They explained what had happened in a simple way and fixed everything without making it a big hassle. Really happy with the support, it felt like they actually cared.

I usually go by the photos first and assume they’re a good shortcut for what the place will feel like, and for the most part they were accurate. The listing wasn’t misleading, but the room definitely felt smaller once I was actually there...

"Still waiting on my refund"
I cancelled a few weeks ago and I’m still waiting for my money back. Every time I ask, they just tell me to wait, but no one gives me a clear answer. I’ve been busy and don’t have time to keep chasing this around, so it’s getting really frustrating.
"Don’t use Uniplaces"
I recently booked a room through Uniplaces only to find out afterwards (after transferring the amount of the first rent) that there’s a different intermediary involved called Habyt. Uniplaces calls Habyt a “trusted landlord”, despite its 1.4 (out of 5) rating on Trustpilot (where it is labelled “bad”). I spoke to people who have used Habyt in the past and they told me that the apartments they booked were extremely dirty and had broken things all over the place. I’ve shared my concerns with Uniplaces but they did nothing to address them (and they refused to refund me with the first rent I paid). If I had known that Habyt was involved, I wouldn’t have booked the specific room. However, there was no way of knowing that before making the payment. Therefore, the lack of transparency on behalf of Uniplaces caused me a major financial damage. For all these reasons, I would advise against using this platform.
